The first thing you’re going to do is download the app 5 Calls.
The premise is to make five calls a day to your elected officials. If they are republicans, tell them what you want them to do. If they are democrats, still call them. They want to hear from you.
I spoke with my congresswoman’s office today and had a delightful conversation with the person who took the message. He was truly thankful that I called to say, “thank you. Keep fighting the fight.”
5 Calls provides you with a script and the phone numbers to your representatives. All you have to do is be brave enough to call. I did my calls today while I walked the dog.
Scared someone will answer? Call after 6pm on weekdays or on the weekend, and hope you get a voicemail that isn’t full. Always leave your name and zip code. It’s important they know you are a constituent.
